Seeking to Better Understand Teen Addiction

by adrf in ADRF Research Stories , Opioid Crisis 0 comments

Since its inception ADRF has had a major focus on the rise in addictive behavior among the nation’s youth, particularly the use of both tobacco and drugs of abuse among teens.  Important research in this area includes not only the pharmacology of the problem, but genetic, social, economic factors contributing to the problem.  A holistic approach will help to provide not only better treatments but educational programs that counter this trend.  ADRF has been working with research institutions as well as treatment providers and educational initiatives in  this important focus area.
