BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Addiction Disorders Research Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors, whose members share a common concern for addictions and are committed to using science to meet this critical challenge. Our Advisory Board provides additional support and guidance, especially in the process of approving funding applications.

We are proud to count leading authorities on addiction research as members of our Board of Directors and Advisory Board.

Jed Rose

Jed Rose is a professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University, Director of the Duke Center for Smoking Cessation at Duke University Medical Center, and President of the Rose Research Center.  He is a leading authority on tobacco addiction and inventor of the nicotine “patch” which has saved countless lives.

Edythe London

Edythe London is The Thomas and Katherine Pike Professor of Addiction Studies, and Director of the UCLA Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology at the David Geffen School of Medicine University of California at Los Angeles.  Previously Dr. London served at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and is a leading national authority on addiction.

Abraham Wagner

Abraham Wagner teaches at the Columbia Law School and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.  He previously served with the Office of National Drug Control Policy and has worked on drug control policy and programs for addiction.

Mary Pattiz

Mary Pattiz serves as Chairman of the Bette Ford Center, one of the nation’s leading centers for the treatment of addiction.  She has devoted her efforts to the identification and provision for better treatments for addictive disorders.

Jerome Jaffe

Jerome Jaffe clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse.  Dr. Jaffe served as the nation’s first “Drug Czar” directing the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.
