GRANTS FOR INNOVATIVE RESEARCH

ADRF welcomes grant applications from individuals and institutions for promising research work that is in line with our mission, goals, and focus areas.

We place special emphasis on inviting young scientists to apply for funding. We believe that funding the research of doctoral and post-doctoral scientists working in addiction research fields is an important part of realizing our mission.  We also seek to collaborate with institutions that have novel concepts for our key focus areas including treatment regimens and educational initiatives that deal with the growing opioid crisis.

HOW TO APPLY

No specific format is required for grant applications, but it is strongly suggested that the applicants utilize the proposal format developed by the National Institutes for Health (NIH). All proposals must include the following:

  • Detailed statement of specific aims
  • Research approach
  • Schedule
  • Staffing
  • Budget
  • Budget justifications

ADRF’s Advisory Board reviews grant applications quarterly. We award funding based on scientific merit and the availability of funds.

Proposals should be sent electronically to proposals@addicitivedisorders.org.
